Everything Starts with a Doodle!

It's this time of year we turn our attention to travelling with the kids. Your eyes widen at the prospect of delays, queues, valiant efforts to enjoy a leisurely meal out together with the kids in tow.

As my Instagram handle implies (crayons_miumiu), taking residence in my bag is a small pot of crayons and a notebook. Always. iPads are great but sometimes they can wind my 2 up when the reasoning behind them having it was to calm them down. Helpful.

Taking crayon to paper allows them to relax, breathe, take time out. Often a conversation starter between us, them. If feels good in a world where we seek instant stimulation, taking it 'old school' where an iPad alternative of colouring is a welcomed screen free distraction and an opportunity to allow them to explore their creativity.

This is something championed by Doodlemoo. The creative force that is Emily and Chris combine their Graphic Designer and Fine Art Illustrator skills to produce vivid playful prints and stationery. It all begins with a doodle that evolves into the final design. Through their website you can print free downloads, some seasonal fun and some classic colouring in and activity sheets. Perfect. Print, Fold Up, Pop in your bag for when you'll need to buy yourself some time. Mama win.

Doodlemoo's high quality prints make a great addition to your childs space. Their signature bold lines and rich colours would fit in any room.
