What does Mothers Day mean to you...?

Some Women look forward to marking the occasion, Some choose to not mark it at all. And that's ok.

For many, Mothers Day is a painful reminder. A relationship that once was, Or a bond that could have been. Whatever your experiences, the journey of Motherhood brings all women together. However you feel about it, that call to arms of a collective of Mothers is something to be recognised.

'Mothering Sunday' as it is now; stems from the US. In 1905 Poet and War Activist Anna Jarvis, suffered the loss of her Mother. Although not a Mother herself, she felt such passion about honouring that intense love that she campaigned tirelessly to have a date known nationally that pay's tribute to the contributions made by Mothers.

As a Mother, our instinct of looking after our own tribe first and foremost often means we're guilty of putting ourselves way down the list of priorities. Rarely treating ourselves. So this day can be an opportunity to make time for yourself. Sit, just be, or share a gift, whether that's something you've been lusting after online or something significant that represents Motherhood, that symbolises you and yours, And why not? You deserve it.

Mama Flea brands are brought to you by Mama's themselves, Strong women that have built a business close to their heart, juggled maternity leave, late night feeds and Mama guilt like a punch in the ovaries. Women that have experienced the highs and heartbreak of the journey that is Motherhood, creating collections that help you celebrate everything that being a Mother brings. They get it.
